Bear in mind that this video refers to products from the cheap and nasty end of the scale. If you’re shopping for artificial turf for an area in a playspace that will or could not host real turf then you should expect to pay more for a good quality product. Always ask questions about the turf, Where was it manufactured?, What’s its composition? And how will it be installed?
Get them to supply you with a piece of the product – feel and smell it. Certification of the origins and quality of the product is good but not something which is not mandatory (in Australia). If the turf is too be used over a soft fall surface then a compliance certificate IS required (in Australia).
